Hello all!
It’s our favorite time of week…Friday Fun Day! For those of you who don’t know,Friday Fun Day is a way for the Maxim Hygiene team to come together at the end of a busy week and have a little fun. Each week, a different member of our team will be in charge of creating a fun way to start our Friday. This week, Maxim Hygiene’s PR and Marketing representative, Julia, was in charge. Here’s what Julia has to say:
When I was in High School I had an English teacher that would begin every class with “Haiku Mania.” This is where he would flip open a dictionary, point his finger at a random word, and our class would then incorporate this word into a Haiku. It’s a wonderful memory from my adolescence that I wanted to share with the Maxim Hygiene team. So for today’s Friday Fun Day I whipped out a dictionary and we got to haiku-ing! We did three rounds of random words: Foam, Hotel, and Duck. Here are some highlights:
Foam
Sitting on the sand Ocean foam along the shore Oh wait, I’m at work 🙂 I use foam a lot To shave and to clean dishes And even in baths I prefer lattes Because I don’t like the foam On cappuccinosHotel
I don’t need hotels To feel like I’m on a trip I just need good friends It’s fun to travel And to stay in hotels but There’s no place like homeDuck
I was at the park And I ran after a duck The duck flew away Sitting by the pond A lonely duck looking lost I offered her bread My ceiling’s so low That sometimes I need to duck Or risk injury I saw a sick duck I took it to the doctor The duck got healthyI hope you Green Queens like our haikus.
