Three Places in NYC to Celebrate Fall

Before it gets too cold, and snow begins to cover the beautiful Autumn colors, we here at the Maxim Hygiene headquarters thought it might be nice to compile a list of some of the best places in New York to enjoy the best fall colors while we prepare for winter.

#1) Planting Fields Arboretum:

Upper Brookville, New York (516) 922-9210

Walking down the many paths of this estate, I encountered numerous wedding photographers snapping shots of brides-to-be in glamorous wedding gowns, joyful bluejays singing from the limbs of tall trees, and a greenhouse that reminded me of summer. You can even celebrate the approaching holiday season by attending a concert or carol in the cozy atmosphere of Coe Hall.

#2 Brooklyn Botanical Garden

1000 Washington Ave Brooklyn, NY 11225
(718) 623-7200

Take the B or Q to Prospect park or the 2 or 3 to Eastern Parkway to be transported to this surreal Brooklyn garden. Discovering such a place of peace amidst the urban sprawl is almost like stumbling upon a Brooklyn-style Narnia. With the flare of the city and the red, orange, and yellow colors of the leaves, you will find inner peace during even the briefest jaunt through this nature preserve. You can even join the American Ballet Theatre Company in a performance called Waltz of the Flowers on November 19th, which would inspire even the most inexperienced dancer.

#3 The High Line

529 West 20th Street, Suite 8W New York, NY 10011
(212) 500-6035

This park is currently in the process of expanding throughout New York. Planted along abandoned train tracks that run over the New York City landscape, woven between skyscrapers and apartment complexes, this garden blends the sounds of the street with the serenity of a stroll through a floral wonderland. Wear your warmest coat though as the weather turns. The wind can turn chilly into torture. But, it’s still one of my favorite parks in the city.

We here at Maxim Hygiene really love our planet. That’s why we work so hard to develop organic and earth-conscious products for women. When you visit these gardens, you can spend some time basking in our world’s beauty and also have time to think about the impact your choices make on our planet. Be green, be organic. Be comfortable. Choose Maxim Hygiene feminine products.
