Next week’s Healthy Girl’s Night Out Event got me thinking about all things girly and related to using my Maxim Hygiene Organic Cotton Cosmetic Accessories. When I think of getting facials I always try to picture myself going through a calm, peaceful and relaxing process that will allow my skin to breathe. Facials are like shopping sprees for your face in a way; you try a few products until you find the perfect mask that compliments your skin tone, needs and wants. I love masks and even if you can’t afford the “Gossip Girls” lifestyle you can still achieve the same type of results at home. Here are some basic, natural ingredients that can help with numerous skin concerns.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal is good for dry, cracked or irate skin. It helps calm the skin and it gives your face must needed moisture
Chamomile
Is your face hot? Itchy or just flustered? Chamomile calms your face and it helps restores your PH Balance
Aloe Vera
Suffering from pimples or blemishes? Did you cut your face ( don’t worry I do it all the time when I have my books to my face and I get a paper cut ) Aloe Vera helps heals and is a natural antiseptic.
Witch Hazel
Is your face oily and always shiny? Then add a little witch hazel to your skin as it is a great astringent and helps tones your face.
Cucumber
Dark circles? Bags or heavy eyes? If you have been following us then you know about our Launch Party and we are working very hard so that might show in our eyes a little bit! Cucumbers feel so amazing on the face and are great for the eye area. Let your cucumbers freeze and put them on your eyes before you sleep and notice a difference in the morning!
There are many natural ingredients you can use to create your own mask if you don’t want to splurge at Bliss at the W Hotel; making your own facial masks are fun and can easily turn into a party with your best girlfriends, so go make your mask and let us know what soft, safe and natural concoction you come
