Sugar and spice with everything nice that’s what pretty girls are made of. Cinderella, makeup, shoes, shopping are some of the words that have become synonymous with being feminine and pretty but women are more than that. We are leaders, doctors, warriors and providers and we have the natural ability to change personas that can be applied to our children, co-workers and friends. I love being a woman for several reasons which includes the ability to be pretty, produce life, destroy stereotypes and be part of a gender that is filled with intelligent, creative beings that have the ability to be superwomen amongst the men on this planet.
There are times when being a woman seems like the worst thing in the world and all of our emotions are exploded everywhere and our hormones are out of control, but women tend to compose themselves quite differently and dare I say, more effectively than men. Women have the natural ability to process language and communications differently and we are naturally blessed with divine intuition, which is something that men don’t always have. Women are also better organizers (maybe not myself, but I’m speaking in general) and tend to think in with their emotions more than men and I’m not ashamed to say that I’m one of those people. Sometimes certain situations need a human factor as opposed to just a cut-and-dry answer.
I also love the sisterhood that women have with each other. Women tend to bond with each other over the similar interests and hobbies which makes the friendship with women amazing. There isn’t anything like having a woman as your best friend to share your secrets and fears with. I love my best friend and I’ve known her since high school and I refer to her as my sister because she knows what I like (food, colors, fashion boys) and we even can wear the same size shoes! She is also a woman I respect and admire because she is a college graduate, a mother and a great sister.
I also love being a woman because sometimes men aren’t the brightest creatures. Men are impressed and tempted by almost anything and will sometimes do anything to appease a woman’s attention. One day I was outside walking home and the ice cream truck stopped and the Ice cream man gave me a free chocolate shake! I just batted my eyes and said thank you. You just can’t get that type of service being a man.
