The Maxim Hygiene Team at The Itch-Free Cotton Zone
Maxim Hygiene had a fun-filled weekend at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA. From March 11-13, Maxim Hygiene occupied booth #3810. The booth was an “Itch-Free Cotton Zone” where visitors were taught the importance of choosing cotton for their tampons, pads, and cosmetic accessories.
The weekend gave Maxim Hygiene an opportunity to engage visitors in discussions about the materials in conventional feminine hygiene products and how to distinguish between what’s really cotton, and what isn’t. To do this, Maxim Hygiene displayed a Live Cotton Trivia board and asked visitors to pick out which of the displayed materials (cotton, synthetic material, and wood pulp) was actually cotton. Visitors were astonished to find that it was very difficult to decipher between these materials because in most cases the material that people have generally believed to be cotton is actually a synthetic or wood pulp imitation of it.
The Design Your Own Organic Cotton Accessory station was a huge hit! Visitors chose between stickers that support cotton and its natural qualities (breathable, itch-free, beautiful by nature) to place on pins made from Maxim Hygiene’s organic cotton rounds.
Finally, visitors enjoyed demonstrations to help illustrate the benefits of choosing cotton for their body, earth, and health. The Natural Products Expo West show allowed Maxim Hygiene to fulfill upon one of its many missions of educating women about soft, safe and natural alternatives in feminine hygiene.
